Horde Leveling Route
A World of Warcraft: Forever Horde leveling route from 1 to 60: Mobalytics' beta route for each race to level 30, a planning list to 60, and the Horde changes Blizzard has confirmed, from Forsaken Paladins at Bandarion Keep to the Boulderrock ogres of the Riverglades.
World of Warcraft: Forever has no official Horde route, but guide sites that played the beta send Horde characters from their starting zone to the Barrens or Silverpine Forest at 10, Stonetalon Mountains and Hillsbrad Foothills in the 20s, and on through Stranglethorn Vale and The Riverglades after 30. Blizzard's panel says the Horde gets its own base in that new zone, as the Alliance gets Farhold Keep; the captions render its name "Ragmar", which Blizzard's written recaps do not spell out. Only levels 1 to 30 could be played in the beta, so the later half is a plan. Level ranges are on Zones by Level, and the Leveling Guide explains how experience works.

Overgear's guide by Nurseos, added on Sep 30, 2026, draws the same shape: the Barrens, Silverpine Forest and Stonetalon Mountains from 10 to 20, then Hillsbrad Foothills, Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale from 20 to 30, with Wailing Caverns, the Ruins of Lordaeron and Shadowfang Keep along the way (Overgear). It says its builds rest on the beta and does not claim to have tested its zones.
Skyborne need the Heroic Pack or higher and choose a faction at creation (see Skyborne). On the Horde side, Windshaper Skyborne train with Shenthul in Orgrimmar, the beta notes say.
What Forever changes on the Horde road
Forsaken Paladins take a detour of their own. Around level 10 they are sent to Bandarion Keep, in a part of Tirisfal Glades players could not reach before, and receive most of their class quests there. On Oct 8, 2026 Blizzard raised the level of the quests and creatures around Shadowvale and the keep, because they "could result in the quests being green by the time you got to them" (Blizzard). See Paladin.
The Ruins of Lordaeron are the Horde's new low-level dungeon, for levels 15 to 20: the Forsaken are reclaiming the city, and the Alliance needs to sneak in. Horde characters can also run the City of Dalaran at 28 to 33, but the city itself will not have them. Since the beta, "Members of the Horde are no longer welcome in Dalaran under any circumstances and will be attacked on sight", and the Horde questline for the Dalaran Sewer Key gets a group into the dungeon, not the open city (Blizzard).
Levels 30 to 60: a plan, not a tested route
The public beta was capped at level 30, so these lists are proposals from guide sites, not routes anyone has timed. They split into bands rather than a fixed order.
| Levels | Mobalytics' zones | Overgear's dungeons |
|---|---|---|
| 25 to 45 | Thousand Needles (25 to 35), Desolace, Arathi Highlands (30 to 40), Stranglethorn Vale (30 to 45), the Riverglades, Dustwallow Marsh, Badlands, Swamp of Sorrows (35 to 45) | Scarlet Monastery, the Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold |
| 40 to 55 | Tanaris, Feralas, the Hinterlands (40 to 50), Searing Gorge, Blasted Lands, Azshara (43 to 55) | Zul'Farrak, Razorfen Downs, Uldaman, Alcaz Prison |
| 48 to 60 | Un'Goro Crater, Felwood (48 to 55), Burning Steppes, Western and Eastern Plaguelands, Winterspring, Silithus (50 to 60) | Sunken Temple, Blackrock Depths, Blackmaw Hold, Shaper's Terrace |
| 60 | Mount Hyjal | Level 60 content |
The Riverglades is Blizzard's offered break from Stranglethorn Vale. A player leveling there who wants a change can go to "an entirely new zone with hundreds of new quests for both factions", the lead content designer said. MassivelyOP, summarizing Blizzard's video of October, reports that Horde players there can seek out the Boulderrock ogres, who broke away from the Twilight's Hammer (MassivelyOP).
The Gelkis and Magram quests in Desolace start at level 35 and lead through the Valley of Bones to Shen'dralas; Mount Hyjal ends the climb.
What is not known yet
Not known as of Oct 31, 2026:
- The fastest Horde route. The beta's level cap left no way to time levels 30 to 60.
- Which road into the Riverglades suits the Horde best. Blizzard's third new ship reaches it from Steamwheedle in Tanaris, and the zone borders Redridge Mountains, the Burning Steppes, the Badlands and the Swamp of Sorrows.
- The level range of Shen'dralas and of Mount Hyjal's quests.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Horde leveling route in WoW Forever? Blizzard has not published one. Mobalytics' beta route sends orcs, trolls and tauren to the Barrens or Silverpine Forest at 10, Stonetalon Mountains at 18, then Ashenvale or Hillsbrad Foothills to 30.
Where should a Horde character go at level 30 in WoW Forever? Guide sites suggest Thousand Needles, Desolace, Arathi Highlands or Stranglethorn Vale, with the Riverglades from about 35. These are plans, since the beta stopped at 30.
Can the Horde enter Dalaran in WoW Forever? Only the dungeon. Blizzard's beta notes say the Horde is attacked on sight in the city, and the Dalaran Sewer Key questline does not grant open-world access.
How do Horde players get to the Riverglades? The new ship from Steamwheedle in Tanaris reaches it by sea, Blizzard says; the zone also connects to the Burning Steppes, Redridge Mountains, the Swamp of Sorrows and the Badlands.
Where do Forsaken Paladins level in WoW Forever? They start in Tirisfal Glades and go to Bandarion Keep around level 10 for most of their class quests.
