Arms Warrior
Arms Warrior in World of Warcraft: Forever: Spearing Strike at 16 points, Weaponmaster replacing four specializations, Bloodthrill's 4 to 20% Overpower chance, Improved Slam at 2 points, Improved Tactical Mastery's 25 Rage, and what a designer said about Slam.
Arms Warrior in World of Warcraft: Forever is the Warrior's weapon tree, built on Rend, Overpower and Slam, with Spearing Strike at 16 points and Bloodthrill as its signature new talent. A designer said on Oct 1, 2026 that Bloodthrill favors no weapon outright: a faster one procs more often for less, a slower one less often for more, "So, you get to kind of choose your style". Every Warrior's baseline is on Warrior. Forever launches on Nov 4, 2026.
Quick facts

| Stance Rage | Improved Tactical Mastery, up to 25 |

Every talent Blizzard names
From Blizzard's deep dive of Sep 30, 2026 and the development notes.
| Where | Talent | As of the last notes |
|---|---|---|
| Row not given | Improved Tactical Mastery | Was Tactical Mastery. 3 more Rage kept per point, 25 at most |
| Row 2 | Improved Overpower | Moved up from row 3 |
| Row not given | Anger Management | Clearer tooltip, same effect |
| 16 points | Spearing Strike | Instant, 15 Rage, 20-second cooldown, needs Battle Stance. A percentage of weapon damage; dismounts; doubled against a mounted target, a Dragon or a Giant |
| Row 5 | Bloodthrill | Main-hand attacks on a target with your Rend have 4/8/12/16/20% to activate Overpower for 6 seconds, Cleave and Heroic Strike included |
| Row 5 | Weaponmaster | Axes and Polearms: critical strike chance. Maces and Staves: ignore some armor. Swords: a chance of an extra melee attack |
| Row 6 | Improved Slam | 2 points. Slam's cooldown 1.5/3 seconds shorter, shorter global cooldown and cast, no delay to the swing |
| Row not given | Deep Wounds | Required again for Impale. A rolling effect that does not scale with Attack Power |
How Blizzard says it plays
Bloodthrill is meant to be uneven. "We do want this to be a little bit RNG", the designer said on the podcast, and "yes, you will have those valleys".
Slam's place is admitted to be unfinished. Requiring a swing timer "got a little bit too much of like a demand for players", so it became a cooldown, and the designer added "I'm not entirely happy with where it's landing". They would rather have a low-damage Slam pressed all the time, if the Rage economy allows.
Recklessness stays at 30 minutes because a short one left Warriors "way too high" in testing. See Warrior.
In the beta, by date
- Sep 24: Bloodthrill's chance doubled from 2/4/6/8/10%, and only main-hand attacks trigger it. Slam's cooldown raised to 18 seconds from 15 (Blizzard).
- Oct 1: Spearing Strike no longer needs a two-handed weapon and now needs Battle Stance (Blizzard).
- Oct 8: Deep Wounds required for Impale again. A bug that scaled it with Attack Power from the off-hand weapon fixed (Blizzard).
- Oct 15: Slam no longer subject to spell pushback. Overpower can activate against much lower level enemies. Weaponmaster's sword effect no longer triggers from Shield Bash and Shield Slam (Blizzard).
Dungeons and raids
Blizzard's article does not assign Arms a raid role; it says "Any party or raid is happy to add a Warrior" and credits the class with "unique buffs and debuffs" (Blizzard). See Raids, Best DPS and Best PvP Class.
Arms can tank early. Blizzard's dungeon designers said "you can do everything as arms", with later content asking more of the player.
What creators said
Countdown, one creator, reading a community site's tooltips on Sep 13, liked Improved Rend at about 12% per point: "Give me a reason to hit rend." Blizzard's own article does not list Improved Rend.
He graded Arms a winner, "probably one of the smaller winners". His Bloodthrill figure, 2%, was doubled on Sep 24.
