The best healer in World of Warcraft: Forever is not settled: Blizzard calls the Paladin the strongest single-target healer, says Holy Priests heal parties and Discipline keeps tanks alive, and NoobToBoss's beta list puts Discipline Priest first, as of Oct 31, 2026.
World of Warcraft: Forever has five healers, Holy Priest, Discipline Priest, Holy Paladin, Restoration Shaman and Restoration Druid, and the answer depends on the job, because Blizzard gave them different ones: Discipline's shields are stronger and it is "probably a little better at keeping a tank alive", Holy is better at healing a whole party, and the Paladin is, in Blizzard's words, "the best single target heal in the game". No raid has been healed yet, since raids open on Dec 9, 2026. The one published ranking we can attribute, NoobToBoss's beta list of Oct 19, puts Discipline Priest first on a level 30 cap and Holy Paladin last, and Icy Veins' list of Oct 26 ranks none, leaving all five "TBD".

What Blizzard says about each healer
Holy Paladin is "the best single target heal in the game", able to keep its mana longer than any other class, but can heal a party only with planning, through Light's Vigil. See Paladin.
Priest: shields are "the unique thing priests have that no other healer has". Blizzard's Discipline notes include Penance, reworked on Oct 8 to keep a mana advantage over Heal and Greater Heal.
Shaman: Blizzard names "unique chaining spells", and Mail and a shield make it among the sturdiest. Riptide adds 25% to Chain Heal on its target, and it lacks crowd control.
Druid: Blizzard calls it powerful, with a "more limited" kit than Priests and heals over time that "require more planning". Wild Growth covers a party every 6 seconds at a high mana cost.
Spirit returns mana for healers that use it, "especially holy paladins and resto shamans", Blizzard said at BlizzCon.
Healers matter by design. Blizzard said it holds back the healing of hybrid damage specs: "we want you to need other players".
What creators and guide sites say
NoobToBoss's list of Oct 19, 2026 judges healing, mana, utility, forgiveness and the level 60 outlook. Discipline leads for shields, Penance and damage when the group is healthy; Holy Priest is its pick for beginners; Holy Paladin sits last only because output and mana "trail the other healers slightly", and "some rankings place it higher". It warns "beta sources disagree a lot below the top spot" (NoobToBoss). Icy Veins' list by Petko ranks nothing yet (Icy Veins).
Asked by viewers on Sep 24, Sodapoppin said "at the moment, priest", then added that he does not know what will be best at 60.
