Human
The Human in World of Warcraft: Forever: Will to Survive, Perception, Ruthless at 1% critical strike and The Human Spirit at 10% after the Oct 26, 2026 launch pass, seven classes including the new Human Hunter, its Priest spells, and Elwynn Forest.
Humans in World of Warcraft: Forever are an Alliance race with four racials at launch: Will to Survive, which removes stuns; Perception, which detects stealth; Ruthless, 1% more critical strike chance; and The Human Spirit, 10% more Spirit. Xaryu read the first version of that list aloud on his first session at BlizzCon 2026, noticing at once that the racials were new. Humans can be seven of the nine classes, more than any other Alliance race, including the new Human Hunter.

Racials at launch
Blizzard's launch pass of Oct 26, 2026 sets the two passives: Ruthless "now increases critical chance by 1% (was 2%)" and The Human Spirit now gives 10% Spirit (was 5%) (Blizzard). Ruthless needs no sword. It replaced Sword Specialization in the beta build of Oct 15, 2026 (Blizzard), and Blizzard keeps weapon racials out so that future loot is not judged by "required" weapon types (Blizzard). Spirit matters more in Forever than it did in 2019 Classic: Blizzard said at BlizzCon that every class that deals damage and heals with mana will have talents or abilities that return mana based on Spirit (see Paladin).
The two actives have no number changes in Blizzard's notes. As catalogued from the BlizzCon demo, Will to Survive removes stuns and Perception detects stealthed enemies for 20 seconds (Warcraft Tavern). Crix at Mobalytics gives Will to Survive a three-minute cooldown. Beta notes changed only its visual, to match Dispel Magic (Blizzard).
Classes
Blizzard's table lists Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior for Humans (Blizzard). Only the Hunter is new; Blizzard names it among the six new race and class combinations. Cajato's Hunter guide counts the Human among eight Hunter race entries and warns against picking a damage winner from tooltips alone.
Human Priests have two race spells. Divine Grace, learned at level 10, instantly heals a friendly target below 50% health and removes Weakened Soul, on a 5-minute cooldown, and cannot be cast on oneself; Feedback is unchanged (Blizzard). Fear Ward no longer belongs to any race: every Priest learns it at level 20 (Blizzard).
Elwynn Forest
Blizzard's new ship runs from Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine, so that humans and night elves can play through their starting zones together. Blizzard's notes name Northshire Valley as a subzone of Elwynn Forest (Blizzard). They also show the zone being adjusted during the beta: Jasperlode and Fargodeep Mines lost their candles because they were "a little more deadly than intended for solo players", the murloc camps around Crystal Lake respawn faster, and players can learn skinning from Helene Peltskinner even with a quest open. More is on Starting Zones.
What players say
Sodapoppin, on Sep 24, 2026, before Blizzard's last two rounds of changes, named Gnome or Human as the Alliance's Rogue races and called the Human the strongest. As of its update of Oct 30, 2026, Crix at Mobalytics puts the Human at the top of both its PvE and PvP lists, though the PvP text still describes the old 2% figure. These are opinions; see Best Race for Each Class.
What is not known yet
The names and number of the new Human quests in Elwynn Forest are not listed by Blizzard as of Oct 31, 2026, beyond "dozens" for each starting zone.
