Racials at launch

On Oct 8, 2026 Josh Greenfield named the Orc and Troll active racials as ones the team feared were a little too strong. Yet Berserking finished stronger: the launch pass lengthened it to 15 seconds (Blizzard). Crix at Mobalytics still calls it much weaker than the Classic version.

Rapid Regeneration restores 50% of maximum health over time (Warcraft Tavern); the same list has Beast Slaying at 5%. Regeneration lets 20% of health regeneration continue in combat since Oct 15, 2026 (was 10%) (Blizzard).

Classes

Blizzard's table lists Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior (Blizzard). Only the Warlock is new. Its casting speed from Berserking now lasts longer, while the Orc Warlock has 5% pet damage from Command (Blizzard). See New Race and Class Combinations.

Troll Priests keep Hex of Weakness and Shadowguard unchanged (Blizzard).

Where Trolls fight

Blizzard's new 15 versus 15 battleground, Darkspear Islands, puts Darkspear trolls at the center of its story: the Darkspear Raiders hold the Horde side, off Dustwallow Marsh.

Blizzard's words about starting zones name the orc's Valley of Trials. Trolls shared it with Orcs in 2019 Classic; Blizzard's Forever text does not say so. See Starting Zones.

What players say

Sodapoppin, on Sep 24, 2026, called meeting a Troll "a free win" in duels and dismissed it as a Rogue choice; Berserking was then 10 seconds. Crix at Mobalytics ranks it in the middle of both lists, for situational tools. Icy Veins on Sep 17, 2026 picked it for Horde Hunters and Rogues. See Best Race for Each Class.

What is not known yet

Berserking's cooldown is not in Blizzard's notes as of Oct 31, 2026, and neither is the Troll's starting area.
