Orc

The Orc in World of Warcraft: Forever: Blood Fury back to a 2-minute cooldown, Command for 5% pet damage since Oct 26, 2026, Shatter Curse and Hardiness, six classes including the new Orc Mage, and the Valley of Trials.

Orcs in World of Warcraft: Forever are a Horde race whose launch racials are Blood Fury on a 2-minute cooldown, Shatter Curse, Command and Hardiness, set by Blizzard's launch pass of Oct 26, 2026. Blood Fury raises attack power and spell power by 10% for 15 seconds; Xaryu read out the 10% at BlizzCon and called it "OP". Because it raises spell power, it works for the new Orc Mage, one of six new race and class combinations.

Racials at launch

Blizzard's Josh Greenfield said on Oct 8, 2026 that the team was looking at active racials, the Orc's and Troll's in particular, "and how strong they are perhaps a little too strong". A week later, the beta build of Oct 15 raised Blood Fury's cooldown to 3 minutes (Blizzard).

Blizzard then changed direction. Its launch pass of Oct 26, 2026 returned the cooldown to 2 minutes, removed Savage (1% critical strike chance) and re-added Command, "increasing Warlock and Hunter pet damage by 5%" (Blizzard). Blizzard's reason was identity: where it had replaced role- or class-focused racials with generic ones, "we're rolling those changes back".

Shatter Curse keeps its Oct 15 form: it dispels Curses and Banes instead of granting immunity, and reduces magic damage taken by 5% (was 15%) (Blizzard); the BlizzCon list has it lasting 8 seconds (Warcraft Tavern). Hardiness shortens stuns by 20%.

Classes

Blizzard's table lists Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior (Blizzard). The Orc Mage is new. Command helps Orc Hunters and Warlocks, not Mages, and Blood Fury helps all of them. See Classes and Talents.

The Valley of Trials

Blizzard's first example of new starting content is "an orc in the Valley of Trials". Beta notes for Durotar shortened the respawn of the escort for "Lost in the Shadows" and added eggs for "Break A Few Eggs", and the peons of "Lazy Peons" are "now lazier" (Blizzard). In Orgrimmar, Neeru Fireblade got a map marker for "Hidden Enemies". The Horde's first new dungeon is the Ruins of Lordaeron, reached from the Undercity. See Starting Zones.

What players say

Sodapoppin, on Sep 24, 2026, said of the Hunter "If you can play orc, you should play orc", naming the stun reduction, before Blizzard's last rounds of changes. Crix at Mobalytics ranks it near the top of its PvE list and just behind the top for PvP. Icy Veins picked it on Sep 17, 2026 for Horde Mages, Shaman and Warriors. See Best Race for Each Class.

What is not known yet

As of Oct 31, 2026 Blizzard has not named the Valley of Trials' new quests.
