Undead
The Undead in World of Warcraft: Forever: Will of the Forsaken without immunity, Cannibalize, Underwater Breathing, Touch of the Grave on a 15-second internal cooldown since Oct 26, 2026, six classes, and the new Forsaken Paladin at Bandarion Keep.
The Undead in World of Warcraft: Forever are a Horde race whose launch racials are Will of the Forsaken, Cannibalize, Underwater Breathing and Touch of the Grave, the last on a 15-second internal cooldown since Blizzard's launch pass of Oct 26, 2026. At the BlizzCon Deep Dive Blizzard said Will of the Forsaken "was a little bit too strong": it now simply breaks charm, fear and sleep, without immunity afterwards. Forever's biggest change for the race is a new class, the Undead Paladin, which Blizzard calls the Forsaken Paladin.

Racials at launch
Blizzard's notes of Oct 15, 2026, which call it Touch of the Dead in places, set a 30% chance for casters and 20% for Paladins, Rogues and Warriors, with a 25-second internal cooldown, and stop it scaling with Shadow increases (Blizzard). The launch pass cut the internal cooldown to 15 seconds (Blizzard). Another note stopped it breaking crowd control or firing from spells with no damage, so Shadow Word: Pain activates it on cast but not on its periodic damage (Blizzard).
Other notes: Cannibalize cannot be used while immune to physical damage, and Will of the Forsaken works while asleep or charmed after a fix of Oct 8, 2026, but not under Scatter Shot (Blizzard).
Classes
Blizzard's table lists Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior (Blizzard). Undead Priests keep Touch of Weakness unchanged and gain Dark Sacrifice at level 20, which spends the Priest's own health for mana over time, increased by Spirit (Blizzard); it no longer breaks crowd control that breaks on damage (Blizzard).
The Forsaken Paladin
At the start of Forever, Forsaken Paladins are deeply mistrusted by other Forsaken, who know paladins only through groups like the Scarlet Crusade. Channeling the Light is "almost maddeningly painful" for the undead.
They are sent around level 10 to Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood, a formerly unreachable north-western part of Tirisfal Glades, and get most of their class quests there. Beta notes raised the level of the quests around Shadowvale and Bandarion Keep because they could be green by arrival (Blizzard). At level 60 they have their own epic mount quest. The class is on Paladin.
Tirisfal Glades
Blizzard's leveling video says new stories in the Undead starting zone "explain how Paladins have emerged among the Forsaken". The Ruins of Lordaeron, the Horde's first new dungeon, sits above the Undercity for levels 15 to 20. See Starting Zones.
What players say
Sodapoppin, on Sep 24, 2026, named removing fear as the reason a Rogue facing a Warlock wants Undead. Crix at Mobalytics puts the race at the top for PvP on Will of the Forsaken, and near the bottom in PvE, in text that still cites the 25-second cooldown. See Best Race for Each Class.
What is not known yet
Blizzard's Oct 26 post gives no new proc chance for Touch of the Grave, so the Oct 15 percentages are the latest published as of Oct 31, 2026.
