Fury Warrior

Fury Warrior in World of Warcraft: Forever: Blizzard's Oct 1 rework, Raging Blows at 16 points, Lingering Rage, Furious Precision, Gore Drinker, Flurry behind Death Wish, Bloodthirst at 45% Attack Power, what was removed, and cleave as the Warrior's role.

Fury Warrior in World of Warcraft: Forever is the dual-wield tree Blizzard reworked on Oct 1, 2026, with Raging Blows at 16 points, and the fights it is built to win are cleave fights. On that day's podcast a designer said that when "you're attacking multiple bosses or lots of ads at once, warrior will be the strongest at that type of encounter". Rage and every Warrior's baseline are on Warrior. Forever launches on Nov 4, 2026.

Quick facts

Role Melee damage
16 points Raging Blows: 3 less Rage on Cleave and Whirlwind
Whirlwind Always strikes with both weapons, no talent
Flurry's requirement Death Wish, not Enrage, since Oct 1
Bloodthirst 45% Attack Power, 10% movement speed for 10 seconds
Removed Improved Cleave, Boundless Rage
21 and 31 points Not named in Blizzard's article
Last class notes Oct 15, 2026

Every talent Blizzard names

From Blizzard's deep dive of Sep 30, 2026, the Warrior build notes of Oct 1 and the development notes. The rework came after the article, so the table is the later word.

Where Talent As of the last notes
Row not given Booming Voice 10/20/30/40/50% Shout area, 5/10/15/20/25% off Shout Rage
Row not given Unbridled Wrath Chance raised; no longer doubled for two-handed weapons
Row 2 Lingering Rage 2/4/6/8/10 seconds before Rage decays after combat
Row not given Blood Craze From hits over 20% of maximum health; no longer from Bloodthirst
Row 3 Furious Precision 4/7/10% off-hand hit
Row not given Dual Wield Specialization No longer gives hit or off-hand Rage
16 points Raging Blows 3 less Rage on Cleave and Whirlwind
Row not given Enrage A chance from any damage taken; no longer required for Flurry
Row 5 Precision Chance to hit
Row 5 Improved Berserker Rage Moved from row 6
Row not given Death Wish Raises all damage taken instead of lowering armor and resistances
Needs Death Wish Flurry 5% less total attack speed
Row 6 Gore Drinker Needs Enrage. Enrage, Berserker Rage, Bloodrage, Death Wish and Bloodthirst make the next 3 melee attacks restore 0.5/1% of maximum health
Row not given Bloodthirst No healing; 10% movement speed for 10 seconds; Attack Power ratio 45%, was 35%

Improved Demoralizing Shout and Improved Battle Shout are baseline. Iron Will moved to Protection. Berserker Rage trains at level 30, not 32.

How Blizzard says it plays

The Oct 1 notes give the aim: "more access to utility and meaningful choices early in the tree for leveling", and freeing later points "instead of being stuck placing points into Enrage to get Flurry" (Blizzard). The notes do not say what the 31-point talent is.

Rage is meant to swing. A designer said Blizzard normalized it to stop a loop, "you get more rage from doing damage which then makes you do more damage", then returned Rage from critical strikes because "having that erratic uh rage bar is part of the warrior fantasy".

Recklessness stays long because of what it does with those critical strikes. Blizzard called it "probably the strongest personal cooldown in the game".

In the beta, by date

  • Oct 1: The rework in the table. Dual Wield had been wrongly giving its hit to both weapons, and correcting Blizzard's tests prompted "another pass on Fury Warrior". Queueing Heroic Strike stopped raising off-hand hit. Unbridled Rage's chance was fixed. Critical strikes give 100% more Rage (Blizzard).
  • Oct 8: Rage bugs fixed for all Warriors (Blizzard); details on Warrior.
  • Oct 15: Battle Shout raid wide, Lingering Rage no longer stops health regeneration after combat, and Improved Berserker Rage now removes movement-impairing effects as intended (Blizzard).

Dungeons and raids

Blizzard writes of "a unique strength in dealing sustained damage to multiple melee targets", and that "Any party or raid is happy to add a Warrior" (Blizzard). Fury is not singled out. See Raids and Best DPS.

Blizzard counts Warriors as hybrids and puts the right number at "around 5% less damage" on hybrid damage specs.

Asked whether a Fury Warrior walks into raids with the whole Classic shopping list, Blizzard's answer on the dungeon podcast was "you'll still have access to all all of the classic consumables". It added that Blizzard is working on the economy so that buying them is not "such a burden".

What creators said

Countdown, one creator, reviewing the demo on Sep 13, hoped Bloodthirst's speed might make Fury an "interesting alternative to arms in PvP", though he added "I don't think this is going to do it". His excitement about Dual Wield and Boundless Rage in that video no longer applies: Blizzard removed both effects on Oct 1.

What is not known yet

  • Launch numbers. Blizzard has published no launch patch notes, and the last class changes in its development notes are the build of Oct 15, 2026, with only racials after it. Not known as of Oct 31, 2026.
  • The talents at Fury's 21 and 31 points. Blizzard's article calls only Raging Blows a gold medal talent.
  • A level 60 rotation. Blizzard has given none, and raids open on Dec 9, 2026.
  • Whether Fury or Arms leads, in any setting. Blizzard has not said.
